Job description

**Location:** Austin, Texas **Duration:** 07/15/2026 – 08/31/2027 **Hours:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding State holidays); may require evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed **Overview** A Texas state agency seeks three Software Developer 3 professionals to design, implement, and maintain an enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) ecosystem. This is a staff augmentation engagement supporting critical identity governance and access control initiatives. The selected candidates will work in a hybrid environment, contributing to the architectural design and long-term operational excellence of centralized identity solutions. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and maintain an enterprise Identity and Access Management ecosystem - Implement architectural design of a centralized identity provider framework using SAML 2.0 and OIDC for SSO and MFA - Build Joiner, Mover, and Leaver lifecycle workflows - Onboard enterprise applications via REST APIs - Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models - Deploy a privileged access management solution featuring secure credential vaulting, automated password rotation, and just-in-time provisioning - Perform long-term system maintenance, including performance tuning - Troubleshoot provisioning errors and connection failures - Continue onboarding of business applications throughout the contract lifecycle **Required Qualifications** - 8+ years of experience in IAM Platform governance, engineering, lifecycle automation, and scripting - 8+ years of experience in application onboarding and integrating business applications with IAM systems - 5+ years of experience designing and implementing RBAC models, enforcing separation of duties, and designing certification campaigns - 5+ years of experience managing Centralized Identity Provider and configuring SSO and MFA - 5+ years of experience managing centralized identity providers, configuring SSO, MFA, and federation protocols **Preferred Qualifications** - 1+ years of experience with SailPoint ISC implementation and operations **Work Location & Requirements** - Hybrid work arrangement combining on-site and telework - Primary work location in Austin, Texas - Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays - May be required to work outside normal business hours on weekends, evenings, and holidays as requested - All work products are considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the client agency - Candidates will be subject to criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law - All travel, per diem, parking, and living expenses are at the candidate's or vendor's expense
