**Location:** Austin, Texas
**Duration:** September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027 (up to 2008 hours; renewable for up to three one-year optional renewals)
**Hours:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays); overtime may be required on evenings, weekends, and holidays with pre-approval

**Overview**
A Texas state agency seeks a Systems Analyst 3 to support Data Engineering and Data Governance work in SHARP. This role requires 8 or more years of experience and relies on experience and judgment to independently perform a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. The successful candidate will understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
- Confer with personnel of organizational units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements.
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program changes are possible within existing systems.
- Support Data Engineering and Data Governance work.
**Required Qualifications**
- 10+ years of experience using Informatica tools including Powercenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, Entity360.
- 10+ years of experience establishing Master Data and Reference data for large organizations.
- 10+ years of experience implementing data quality rules using Informatica DQ.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- 4+ years of experience working with enterprise scale data sets in Snowflake.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field (equivalent work experience can be substituted; Master's degree or 6+ years experience preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare or Public Health.
- 2+ years of experience at a state agency.
- 2+ years of experience with Python scripts for automation and interaction with APIs.
- Experience with Informatica MDM.
**Work Location & Requirements**
- Primary work location is Austin, Texas.
- Hybrid position: 3 days onsite (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays) and 2 days remote (Mondays, Wednesdays).
- Local candidates only; must already reside in Texas (no out-of-state candidates planning to relocate).
- All travel, per diem, parking, and living expenses are at the candidate's expense.
- Must sign an Acceptable Use Agreement and an Information Technology Staff Augmentation Contractor Integrity Agreement before purchase order issuance.
- Must complete and pass a criminal history investigation within six months prior to purchase order issuance.
- Must complete Information Security Cybersecurity Training Acknowledgement.
- May be required to work remotely up to 100 percent of the time at agency discretion.
