Job description

**Location:** In person **Overview** A leading global manufacturer of high-performance precision components in the automotive industry is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Technician/Programmer to join their manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality components that meet strict automotive specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and experienced with CAD/CAM systems and G-code programming. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop, edit, and optimize CNC lathe programs - Set up CNC lathes and other machining centers, including tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets - Validate new programs through dry runs and first-article inspections - Continuously improve programs to reduce cycle time and enhance tool life - Operate CNC equipment to produce precision automotive components according to production schedules - Interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications - Monitor machining operations to ensure consistent quality and dimensional accuracy - Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other metrology tools **Required Qualifications** - 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a production environment - Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions - Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code) and CAM systems (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit) - Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC lathes - Solid understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds, and machining various materials (steel, aluminum, castings, etc.) **Preferred Qualifications** - Previous experience in automotive or high-precision manufacturing environments - Familiarity with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 quality standards **Work Location & Requirements** - In person work location required - Benefits include 401(k) with matching, dental insurance, employee assistance program, flexible spending account, health insurance, health savings account, life insurance, paid time off, professional development assistance, and vision insurance
